The International conference devoted to the protection of the Civilians would take place in Lviv
Lviv Centre for International Law and Human Rights will become a partner of the Interational conference “Civilians In Contemporary Armed Conflicts. Rafał Lemkin’s Heritage”. The Conference will be held at the University of Lviv on 15th-16th October 2015. Within the conference will be considered key aspects devoted to the protection of the civilians during the contemporary international and internal armed conflicts including the position of Rafał Lemkin on this subject.
The participants of the conference will become a leading lawyers and international researchers from Ukraine, Poland, Germany, the UK, Armenia, Israel etc. The participation of the Head of Ukrainian Association of International Law Prof. Oleksandr Zadorozhnyi, Head of the Committee against Tortures of the Council of Europe Prof. Mykola Gnatovsky and Prof. of the University College of London Philippe Sands.
Conference is convened by The Foundation for Polish-German Cooperation together with the Institute of International Relations of the Warsaw University and Faculty of International Relations of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. Partners of the conference had become Lviv Centre for International Law and Human Rights, Center for International Security and Partnership (Lviv), Council of Young Scholars of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv and NGO “Young Diplomacy Center” (Lviv).
