Open lecture by renowned international lawyer Philippe Sands
On April 30, 2015, Lviv Centre for International Law and Human Rights, together with the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv and in cooperation with the Lviv Branch of the Ukrainian Bar Association organizes an open lecture by renowned international lawyer Philippe Sands. The subject of the lecture will be «Crimea and International Law». During the lectures the major challenges faced by the international law in connection with the temporary occupation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the current international legal status of Crimea and ways of legal regulation of the problem will be highlighted and discussed.
Philippe Sands is a professor of international law at the University College of London and a Director of the Center for International Courts and Tribunals. He is actively involved in proceedings before the international judicial institutions such as the International Court of Justice, the European Court of Human Rights, etc.
The lecture will be held on April 30, 2015, in the Mirror Hall of The Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Universytetska str., 1.
